LHS Parents and Students,
Hello from LHS. On March 27, 2020, we were informed by the Illinois State Board of Education that public and private schools would move to remote learning during Governor Pritzker’s school closure order. Yesterday afternoon, we were made aware that this closure will continue through April 30, 2020. The staff at LHS has been working to prepare over the past two weeks for a rollout of remote learning to our students. “Remote Learning” is where students will do assignments from home and will turn them in digitally or during drop off times at LHS. In the coming days, I will share more information in regards to remote learning and how we are working through this unprecedented time.
Starting Monday April 6th, those students who need paper packets for assignments or a chromebook may pick them up at LHS at the main entrance from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. You can remain in your vehicle and we will bring your materials to you. We will continue this process every Monday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. until the closure is lifted. Students will turn in their packets and pick up new ones at that time.
Students, your teachers will be reaching out via email and other digital means that you have used throughout the year.
Grading- Teachers will be grading your assignments and it will count as a pass or incomplete. More details to come on this next week.
