The Lawrenceville VFW Post No. 2244 recently awarded the winners of the 2020 Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen contest which is held annually across the state of Illinois. The Voice of Democracy is a speech contest for grade levels nine through 12 while the Patriot's Pen contest is an essay contest for jr. high students.
