3rd place - Mr. Kennard’s class with 152 items
4th place - Mrs. Holmes’s class with 108 items
5th place - Mr. Joergen’s class with 85 items
6th place - Mrs. Uptmor’s class with 75 items

As winner of the week-long competition, Ms. Buck’s class will be getting doughnuts for breakfast on Wednesday.
Overall, this year’s canned food drive collected 1,712 food items, which will be donated to the Sign of the Kingdom to help local families in need. This was Parkview’s largest canned food drive in the 9 years that records have been kept. The previous record, 650 items, was set in 2017.
Although the competition for the doughnuts has ended, students are asked to continue bringing in non-perishable food items through Wednesday. For every item brought in, students will receive 5 PBIS reward points which they can spend at Thursday’s Fun Day. Sixth- and seventh-graders are asked to bring their items to their 1st period teachers. Eighth-graders are asked to bring their items to Mrs. Holmes. Anyone with questions should contact Mrs. Holmes.
